So yeah, I'm updating again, I kinda felt the need to because I'm very excited for my LittleBigPlanet Christmas Special level. It's still not finished, I've added alot of detail to the start, and I'll add more later if possible. So far, I've got some nice little jumping, some nasty suprises, and some platform/puzzles set out.

I'm just up to making a boss battle now, after this it'll lead to an escape (I won't spoil it and say where) and then to a nice happy ending. It's very close to "over-heating", but I rekon the boss and ending will be easy to squeeze in as long as I'm careful, and I'm praying I'll have enough left over to add fine detail, as some of the level looks kinda plain so far.

As I said, this is early days and the level isn't finished, in fact this is about day 3 of working, and it's only December 5th. I'm looking for a Dec 15th release, maybe earlier depending on when other users start throwing Christmas levels left right and centre.

I think I can say happily that this is by far my best level yet; sounds a big-headed comment I know, but what I mean is that my previous levels were all pretty low in terms of gameplay, I used a story too heavily. Whereas here I can fit in just enough of a story, but also a good amount of gameplay. I think the boss alone should satisfy people if the (what little I could add) platforming beforehand isn't enough. I'm hoping for it to be very good, and so far I can happily say it's going that way. I keep doing test runs to check for glitches, and so far everything seems in order, with fine detail added where I could add it.

So er yeah, in conclusion; the level is looking great so far, it's almost finished in terms of outline, and I'm intending to finish tonight or tomorrow, and fine detail will start tomorrow for definate I imagine. There's a good share of gameplay, a little story, and some pretty good effects in terms of camera, lighting, and I feel the music fits well for each part. I must admit I'm a bit concerned I've trailed away from a Christmassy feel on the bit I'm on now, but I think it's given a bit of a feel of Nightmare Before Christmas. It's got a magical Christmassy moment, mixed with a gloomy, but enjoyable area too.
